Administrative Assistant - Conference Development/Training (Part Time (20 hours/week), Regular)

Provides administrative and project assistance to the Director of Content for the Leadership Segment. Responsibilities include serving as primary contact with conference speakers, coordinating meeting details, trouble shooting speaker requests, creating draft event proposals, and handling routine administrative matters.

Essential job knowledge includes:

  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, including a typing speed of 60 WPM

       Job Description

Conference Event Manager - Conference Operations (FT, Regular)

This position is responsible for the operational execution of designated WCA domestic conference events at Willow Creek Community Church and other offsite locations.  Primary responsibilities include strategically planning conference operations from beginning to end in conjuction with Segment Teams, preparing schedule of all operational details during an event, leading the WCCC Conference Operations Team, working with hotels and outside vendors, leading debriefing sessions, fiduciary responsibility for monitoring event budget, proofing collateral conference materials, and creating event communication tools.

Essential job knowledge/skills includes:

  • Undergraduate Degree
  • 3-5 years Event Planning experience on events of 500 guests or more
  • Alignment with vision of WCA and a passion for conference guests and WCA churches
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to track and log large amounts of information
  • Ability to lead meetings and speak publicly
  • Ability to see both "big picture" while still being able to focus on detail and resolve problems

REVEAL: Database Analyst (Part Time (Approx. 24 hours/week), Regular)

Supports the WCA team by coordinating and monitoring the design, development, and modification of the database that is generated by the information collected in the Spiritual Life Survey. Responsibilities include technical support and leadership for the database environment, providing and designing tools to assist in the management of the database and serving in an advisory capacity on database procedures and methods.

Essential job knowledge includes:

  •  Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred
  •  3-4 years of progressive programming or database administration experience
  •  General understanding and working knowledge of database capabilities and hierarchical database relationships; knowledge of utilizing database query and reporting tools (such as SQL, SAS)
  •  Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  •  Technical problem solving skills (deductive reasoning, ability to understand data relationships, gaps in logic, etc)
  •  Proven ability to work independently with little supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  •  A natural curiosity and passion for working on leading edge efforts
  •  Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

REVEAL: Senior Research Statistician (Part Time (Approx. 24 hours/week), Regular)

Supports the WCA team in the design, development, analysis, and value-added interpretation of the REVEAL spiritual growth survey tool. Responsibilities include executing and assisting in the statistical analysis and interpretation of the REVEAL data set.

Essential job knowledge includes:

  •  BS or MS in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Social Science or similar field
  •  4-7 years experience in consumer market research, social science research, or equivalent
  •  Thorough understanding and creative application of advanced statistical techniques, including expertise in several of the following: segmentation methods, prediction and classification modeling, perceptual mapping methods, structural equation modeling, choice modeling/tradeoff analysis, measurement and scaling issues, and other multivariate methods.
  •  Expertise in SPSS and/or SAS and proficiency in MS Office applications
  •  Proven problem solving skills (deductive reasoning, able to see hierarchical relationships, logical thinking)
  •  Hands-on experience in the design, development and execution of survey research
  •  Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to a non-technical audience in both verbal and written form
  •  Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  •  A natural curiosity and passion for working on leading edge efforts
  •  Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
